Jedi-Vim not working well with konsole terminal?
If you want my five cents, then I would say that using something like https://github.com/amix/vimrc without fully understanding the consequences, is a bad idea. And instead you should focus on the basics of vim, vimtutor followed by :h user-manual.
Sorry can't have a GIF with a post. So I recently installed jedi-vim and I'm using it along with this vim-rc https://github.com/amix/vimrc. It will autocomplete in strange ways and I will have to do ctrl + L to redraw. Has anyone else experienced this?

my first experience (everything went wrong) with archcraft
Archcraft's vim uses this vimrc which adds a lot of plugins including some for improving appearance, so it's more suited for a terminal emulator than a tty.

I gave up
Or if you want something very minimal, just for easier editing experience when connected to server, try just a simple preconfigured vimrc file, where you can comment and uncomment stuff that you might need. I use amix as base for my own vimrc file.

Why Does The Business Care? with Michael Heap
Michael: I spent a long time getting my vimrc configured properly and all the right plugins and the language server protocols. And I just tried VS Code, and it just worked. I thought, how many hours could I have saved here? And then things like running projects in Remote Containers that's been a game-changer with a dev container that you can also use with Codespaces. Once I switched over, there was no going back.

- How to configure vim like an IDE

Why use Vim?
It's kind of a double-sided sword for some people as it can be daunting to customize from scratch and also, it could be a rewarding and pleasurable experience of having the personalized experience. With the number of pLugins, custom vimrc and color schemes, etc Vim is very prone to personalization. It is Open Source, so we also have it's distributions such as SpaceVim, SPF-13, etc. Some more distribution can be found here. Some Distribution is pref-configured with some basic stuff and is ready to use, so they are quite beginner-friendly and introduce them to Vim in a better way. NeoVim which is an evolution of Vim written in Lua is much more powerful and provides even more customization keeping the basic key-bindings in mind. Editing Vimrc is quite an amazing and intuitive experience as it allows to add functionality or enhance the existing features in Vim.

Thoughts on Vim?
Vim is great. There's no argument about it. I've been using for the past 3 years. If you are comfortable with an IDE, there is probably a plug-in or mode to use Vim. If you like to use Vim on the terminal as a replacement for your IDE or primary code editor, I'd suggest using something like https://github.com/spf13/spf13-vim for fully loaded Vim. Configuring it should be straightforward, it may also contribute in learning how Vim works.
