I've replaced most of my custom maps for commenting with tpope's commentary plugin. It's a great plugin. However, I wasn't happy with the lack of multi-line/block comment abilities so I created some maps to compliment the commentary plugin. Here are some maps that can be used with autocmd, FileType and for JavaScript comments.

Having said this, there are some useful language independent extensions: jiangmiao/auto-pairs, tpope/vim-commentary, preservim/tagbar, junegunn/vim-peekaboo

vim-commentary comment code comfortably with motions and visual selections alike.

Thanks for helping out. Unfortunately most of the themes in awesome-vim-colorschemes are broken and have no support for dark mode. So I went with the repo maintainer's colorscheme called prism. Wish there was something similar to Fedora GNOME light and dark themes on VSCode.

Since we installed vim airline and vim colorschemes we can change the look and feel of neovim/vim. Find your favorite vim colorscheme here also find your favorite airline theme here For this blog, we will use the gruvbox theme along with the base16 airline theme. To make this permanent write these in your nvim config.

There are plenty of other amazing plugins. Also, have fun looking through colorschemes to make vim look pretty!
