Yes, it runs along side a qbittorrent container and VPN container, I've only tested it with Gluetun and qbittorrent from Linux.io.

How to secure torrenting? VPN?
QBittorrent can run as a webserver inside Docker (https://hub.docker.com/r/linuxserver/qbittorrent). Then you can use a Docker image named Gluetun (https://github.com/qdm12/gluetun) which routes all the connected docker images network traffic through a VPN (either self hosted or commercial).

Docker containers with VPN?
I was only recently introduced to it myself but it's basically a universal VPN client that you can use instead of the stock app for Mullvad or Proton or Nord or whatever. It's not specifically made FOR docker but it can be run in a docker container. Plus other docker containers can connect to it. If you go to their wiki you'll see the list of VPN services they work with. Just click on the service you have for directions. Then also in the wiki here they have directions for how to connect other containers to it. It's all super well documented and there are tons of guides and howtos on the internet on using gluetun.

Setup a gluetun docker container and route your torrent client through it. There is a PIA-specific template you can follow to get started.

Mullvad plus qbittorrent
The YAML does need to be a bit different when the containers are in separate files, as outlined in the Gluetun docs (Section Container in another docker-compose.yml). Also, thanks to the "network_mode" setting, you will get an error when starting qBittorrent without Gluetun running which will make sure you never accidentally leak anything.
