Looking for examples of novel or out-of-the-ordinary uses of GitHub Actions/Pages
The other day I stumbled across upptime.js which is an uptime monitor and status page that's built entirely on GitHub Actions, Issues, and Pages. After looking through the project I thought that's pretty cool that you can do this all with just GitHub. I was wondering if there are other examples of projects like this that use these GitHub tools in ways other than the traditional Devops/CI/CD type stuff you usually see.

Is there a free service that notifies you when your website is down or has issues?
You could check out https://github.com/upptime/upptime it's free and internally is based upon GitHub actions , so may not always be the most reliable but still pretty cool., You can even create dashboards to view your uptime like mine websites uptime dahboard https://dpirad007.github.io/dionpinto-upptime/

We don't plan to add every node to the nodes.monero.com list, but if you want yours added, you can propose it by opening a GitHub issue. You can also contribute to the upstream project.

It does rely on schedule. https://github.com/upptime/upptime/blob/c203e2fd45da62963d16...
And yes, schedule is terribly unreliable. 1h+ delays are routine, 3h+ delays have been observed, high frequency jobs are skipped all the time. You have to use an external trigger for reliable scheduling.

Show HN: OpenStatus – Open-source monitoring with incident managements
I had just been looking at open source status pages this morning, and this was not in the list I was looking at.
OP, you might want to d a PR here: https://github.com/ivbeg/awesome-status-pages
Everyone else might be interested in that list of similar projects.
It's worth coming up with a stronger public-facing answer
We went through this last year, I think we have a public one, a private one, + our actual more 'serious' telemetry (opentelemetry, ...). For the status pages, I think one we don't pay for, and the other is like $20/yr.
It's a crowded space, so clearer differentiation seems useful for your users and for your own journey: https://github.com/ivbeg/awesome-status-pages
