Ask HN: What feature flags platform do you use?
https://github.com/Unleash/unleash
Works great, has every feature we need. We compared with Darkly was just insanely expensive for what we needed, millions of page hits adds up quickly.
We did have to do the work of adding unleash containers to our infra, but it was not hard at all.

KILLSWITCH
So my first instinct is to setup some sorta feature-flag thing within a CMS so managers can flip the boolean, I'm exploring getunleash.io and GrowthBook.io and we already use Contentful.com within the app but they're saying they "really don't think we need to use any third party thing for a killswitch"...

Show HN: We built an open-source LaunchDarkly alternative for B2Bs
Unleash is also open source (Apache 2.0 License). Repo is at https://github.com/Unleash/unleash . Would be interested in knowing the feature differences between the two as they are both Node / Typescript projects

Kan.bn – An open-source alterative to Trello
The market for an on-premise, developer maintained solution is way bigger for a product like this than the cloud version.
We made the exact same, incorrect assumption with https://github.com/Flagsmith/flagsmith several years ago. The market for data sensitive on-premise delpoyments is a LOT bigger than most people would imagine.

Progressive frustration
I first tried to use growthbook. They had only react support. I thought - I could use the js sdk and work around it. Ok fine. It seemed a bit complicated to use in terms of their UI. Okay fine, I try to find an easier one maybe I can self-host. That way I could even put it behind cloudflare CDN and use caching on it and clever cache-busting when I change values could help propagate changes. Okay fine I have a plan. I ended up going with Flagsmith instead. It was even easier. Perfect.
