Ask HN: How to optimally set up an Android Tablet?
For my money, less is more. Minimalist ROMs like LineageOS are a must-have, and when it's not available then I use Android Debloater[0]. Usually I bounce all the unnecessary Google/OEM services and install better alternatives like Newpipe for YouTube and Firefox instead of Chrome. Media apps will be a matter of opinion, but I'm perfectly content with VLC. I do syncing with Syncthing, which is perfect if you spend all your time on the same network.
Besides that though, I don't do a whole lot. The Android 12 UI colors are nice to play with, but I don't think there are any game-changing tips that will blow your mind. Maybe set up Termux so you can do programming on the side?

How to fix 60FPS when selecting 90FPS (Samsung)
The reason this issue occurs is because when you open Fortnite, even with 90FPS enabled, Adaptive Refresh Rate sets the screen refresh rate to 60Hz, causing the framerate to be capped at 60. To fix this, download GalaxyMaxHz and follow the ADB Procedure to unlock the Constant High refresh rate option. If you do not have a secondary device to run ADB on, instead of using USB Debugging, you can use Wireless Debugging in Developer Options and use an app like LADB or Remote ADB Shell (on the Play Store) to connect with a pairing code/IP adress+port and send the command prompts to your own device. If either of them say "shell is dead", go to App Info, press Clear Data, then disable and reenable Wireless Debugging (and disable USB Debugging if you had it on).

Network speed on the status bar
Install an app called Galaxy Max Hz. It has the option to enable that in the status bar. You can even uninstall the app afterwards. Personally I love the features so I bought it as well. Here's the link: Link
