Transmission VS Jackett

There's lots of options but most people recommend qBitorrent. I also think transmission is pretty good if you're looking for something lightweight.

I've got a slew of different computers doing different things. All of them are networked together via Tailscale.

Ubuntu 22.04 Server for the host, everything else runs in LXC containers. This is all setup on ZFS.

A second, dedicated computer also running Ubuntu Server 22.04. It only runs https://pleroma.social for me and a few of my friends.

A third computer, this time an M1 Mac Mini that is my Plex box. It's running the latest version of macOS Ventura and runs all the *arrs and qBittorrent. It also runs Plex itself, because it's one of the only computers that I found that was low power enough but still supported hardware transcoding in Plex. I've been meaning to find a replacement for it running Linux + an AMD GPU (I have an rx470 sitting around somewhere), but no real good deals have turned up.

Jackett

Jackett if you want to add content-providers to Radarr and Sonarr (basically sources from where to download stuff from).

and use qbittorrent to download the books - and you may need https://github.com/Jackett/Jackett for readarr to look up the books on many different torrent websites

Jackett - allows you to connect Sonnar, Radarr, and similar services to your favorite torrenting sites.

Of course, you can just provide a code for users to run on their own computers, but don't expect that anyone will really use it (maybe just a few people here and there, I really mean it). Everyone, who is really hardcore enough to run something on their computers to obtain torrents will just use Jackett (https://github.com/Jackett/Jackett). It can search through the huge number of torrents, which no local DHT scraping/search engine can provide.
