Most secure messaging app | Signal | why only signal??

Father remotely reading adult sister's texts
Not entirely true, apps like Signal, Element, Tox, and some other messaging apps are free and private. Linux distributions (and BSD) such as TAILS OS, Solus and a few hundred others are also free and private. You can also choose to make basic changes like going through your accounts changing all the passwords, setting up 2FA, and locking down the settings every once in a while to increase privacy and security, all for free. Not having a smartphone or phone at all is also really private and can even save you money.

Speek! - A decentralized and anonymous messenger based on Tor hidden services (allows anonymous p2p file sharing) Mac, Windows and Linux

I am trying to host a Mattermost (similar to slack) setup on my server, and my server host (Cloudways) told me that this is not compatible with their stack. Can someone please help me understand this? Is there any possible solution to this?
This is what I'm trying to set up: https://github.com/mattermost/mattermost-server

Team Edition limitation confirmation
There's one mention somewhat buried mattermost.com that reads to the effect of: "All limitations apply to our Cloud versions". If I read this correctly, then Team Edition should not have a limit on how many workspace teams can be created - correct?

Overwhelmed by Anticipation in The Cloud — The Mattermost Platformer #18
On the server platform side, we’re still moving fast, but breaking fewer things (compared to last week). One could say we’re moving fast on stable infra. Refactoring of the multi-product architecture into a few smaller services continue, flushing out the “app” package bit by bit. By the end of Q3 you’ll all be confused Travoltas, you’ll see.

Benchmark Says No — The Mattermost Platformer #16
On the server platform side, we’re firing on all four cylinders (now that Alejandro officially joined us 🎉) this week. He started running load tests with Postgres 12, showing a significant performance boost. Isn’t it great when simply bumping an (open source) dependency makes your product way faster, effectively for free (free as in beer)? We’re also debugging cloud production issues around the performance of plugin downloads. On the refactoring side, we continue to make progress on spreading the context love across our code base, and refactoring the multi-product architecture into larger services according to The Plan™️. We’re also fixing a bug in GraphQL that broke guest logins on community, until then, GraphQL is disabled (so if you’re feeling less graphy this week, now you know why).

Firehose — The Mattermost Platformer #15
On the server platform side, we’re maturing our GraphQL implementation with Grafana monitoring, optimized auth checks and more attributes to fetch. Our work to add more context to our logging continues.

can you make an intranet style website, with employee logins using WordPress?
Not a WordPress solution, but an internal one that’s probably better suited: https://mattermost.com

Goodbye Medium, Hello Ghost: Why my blog is migrating from Medium to Ghost
My personal blog runs on Grav, a flat-file CMS: https://getgrav.org/
It was really simple to set up as a Docker container, it is pretty fast due to not having a backing database but instead being file based, allows for some customization in the form of plugins (e.g. RSS/Atom feeds), is themeable and also reasonably secure (as long as you consider using additional auth in front of /admin, though the admin module itself is entirely optional, you can just write blog posts with a text editor, should you so choose).
Of course, there's not much of a network there to speak of, in regards to discoverability, nor is there any kind of advertising that would give me passive income from my writing (apart from a link to a VPS hosting provider, where I get discounts on my own hosting if someone signs up). However, using your own self-hosted blog is perfectly viable nowadays, should you so choose!
Also, if you need a Wiki, some folks out there strongly recommend BookStack (https://www.bookstackapp.com/) and in regards to communication you can use Mattermost (https://mattermost.com/) or something like it. Not to detract from the actual article itself, it's just that we live in a pretty great time with plenty of options, be it cloud based ones, or self-hosted software!
