It's pretty easy to extend since it's just Python and vanilla HTML/JS/CSS, so there's not much of a toolchain to install.

You can buy it pre-made for $399 or make a DIY one for under $100.

Took me awhile to remember what it was called, but TinyPilot [^0] by mtlynch is pretty cool. Michael sometimes writes about running a hardware business on his blog [^1].

You can still do TinyPilot yourself without buying their custom product it is much cheaper just use https://github.com/tiny-pilot/tinypilot

Now on to how to use litestream with s6-overlay. benbjohnson creator of litestream has a repo over how to use litestream and s6-overlay with a go app container but the repo is publicly archived. Its probably so becuase its uses s6-0verlay version 2 while the newer version is 3 and its got a new design over how to organise your application and define the run scripts and dependencies.

The minor hack is in that trailing &. It tells the script to run the Litestream process in the background, which is how I can execute two long-running processes in the same Docker container. Ben Johnson has published a cleaner solution, but I'm using the hacky version for ease of demonstration.
