Prism
If you're looking for something like this for typst: any VSCode fork with AI (Cursor, Antigravity, etc) plus the tinymist extension (https://github.com/Myriad-Dreamin/tinymist) is pretty nice. Since it's local, it won't have the collaboration/sharing parts built in, but that can be solved too in the usual ways.

Typst: A Possible LaTeX Replacement
There is a language server for Typst: https://github.com/Myriad-Dreamin/tinymist
I have not tried this one, but the predecessor (typst-lsp) was working fine with Neovim for me when I did my little Typst experiment last year. Whatever the VSCode plugin is offering should be possible to replicate on top of tinymist.

RaTeX: KaTeX-compatible LaTeX rendering engine in pure Rust
I don't see any issues with the title of Figure 2.2, but the legend and the x-axis label have weird letter spacing indeed. It seems like images like this are standalone (https://github.com/rikhuijzer/phd-thesis/blob/main/images/pe...) and probably aren't generated by Typst. So perhaps the weird spacing is not Typst's fault.
