My yearly "Praise for Bookstack" Post
I had a similar issue with another project a while back, see if this helps: https://github.com/almarklein/timetagger/issues/239

Looking for a selfhosted time tracking software for small business around 10 employees
I've been using https://github.com/almarklein/timetagger quite successfully for a few months.

I build an open source time tracker for individuals
I'm a freelancer / indie software engineer, and I've build TimeTagger, a time tracker for freelancers (and other individuals). I started this project some years ago out of frustration with existing trackers: they're usually overly complex, and many are made for managers to keep track of their employees.
It's open source, so you can see the code, track progress, make feature requests etc. With a bit of tech skill, you can self-host it for free. The hosted version costs about $3 per month.

TimeTagger is now much easier to self-host
Are you asking how I run timetagger.app, or how I would recommend running timetagger with custom credentials?
I made an issue to have a look at this: https://github.com/almarklein/timetagger/issues/222
I'm sure there's bugs sometimes, we have an issue tracker for that, and I usually fix bugs within a day or two. https://github.com/almarklein/timetagger/issues I'm also willing to file the bugs in your behalf if you explain them here. Thanks!
I've just improved the authentication workflow to use BCrypt: https://github.com/almarklein/timetagger/pull/223 There is a new release and the related blogposts have also been updated.
What site engine do you use for your site https://timetagger.app ?

Self Hosted Time Tracking with API
I stumbled upon TimeTagger by /u/almarklein built in Python, and I was super-amazed which such Time Tracker which also offers an API but it has a HUGE problem: is made for localhosts and I need to put it online on my server to access it from everywhere.

Any tips to improve my coding abilites ?
There is no one way to learn all these but here are some resources: 1. Gooking algorithms [https://edu.anarcho-copy.org/Algorithm/grokking-algorithms-illustrated-programmers-curious.pdf\] 2. A site that hosts implementations of various programming algorithms in different languages
There's also The Algorithms. Many implementations are unfortunately low quality. The Lua ones (disclaimer: I wrote them) should be fine however.
