And I suggest you to use thumbfast instead of mpv_thumbnail_script, it's much better.
Media player with thumbnail seek: mpv with thumbfast. mpv_thumbnail_script is an older script and much worse solution, I guess those still suggesting it are unaware of thumbfast.

Use thumbfast instead, it's infinitely better.
- Using Tethys OSC without seekbar thumbnails but empty folders still get generated in my temp folder anyway. Is there a way around this?

FFmpeg on Arch Linux now finally supports JPEG XL, enabling mpv screenshots in jxl format!

How can I install MPV 0.34.1 latest version on Ubuntu 20.04?
According to https://github.com/flathub/io.mpv.Mpv/blob/master/io.mpv.Mpv.yml, it does pass --enable-libdav1d to ffmpeg's build script, but it never fetches any code from dav1d's git repository? Really weird, not sure if it's an oversight from the maintainer or something else.
