TIL: “sudo” is shorthand for “Superuser do” [command] in linux. Am I a complete idiot for not getting this until today?

Thefuck will attempt to correct errors in your console commands (available via brew, apt, pip and others). You can even enable instant mode if you feel particularly frisky.
The Command:“cd ../”
I just install [the fuck](https://github.com/nvbn/thefuck) and type `fuck` for the autocorrected command.
I use fuck. Fixes git commands too
Fish Shell 3.5.0
2 projects | news.ycombinator.com | 16 Jun 2022
This killed all shell interaction within my tmux setup, somehow, and I had to downgrade in osx/brew back to v3.4.1 . I'm still wondering what part of my (probably outdated) tmux config caused it, but the most suspicious part is the run-shell/if-shell stuff.
Anyway, have things to do before I can try again and dig in. Thought I'd post in case someone else ran into this.

> Other shells support programmable completions, but only fish generates them automatically by parsing your installed man pages.
Fish isn’t the only one though. In fact I’m not even sure it was the first. But it’s definitely the most mainstream shell to support it.

How to make fish able to use the shopt command? Just like how it behaves in bash.
1 project | reddit.com/r/fishshell | 24 May 2022
Fish avoids complicated globbing (it’s not clear where this kind of feature creep should stop — should they implement a syntax that expresses all features of find? How do you keep it readable? Some relevant discussion here). Fish does not even support character ranges in globs.

Upcomming language to try?
4 projects | reddit.com/r/learnprogramming | 15 May 2022
Just learning any scripting language is a great thing to try. Personally I don't really like working in Bash, though. I've done most of my personal scripting in Fish, which in my opinion is just nicer to work in overall.
