Looking for good examples of Terraform use
It is called tf-free, as in, you can create all the resources in it for free, if you have an account on GCP. It may help you comprehend a few of these subjects in a more realistic scenario, and even experiment with it yourself as a sandbox project. Good luck and let me know if you have any questions.

tf-free: A project to create free resources on all cloud-providers
I've created a project where you can create all the free resources available from the major cloud providers in a single command. I used it as a way to learn infrastructure as a code without relying on companies or external training, and without spending fortunes as well. Furthermore, I hope it helps you, as it did for me.

My "infrastructure as code" tool to manage production-grade clusters
for example, here's a trussworks module (from their 'examples' repo) that stands up an ALB, ECS cluster, ECS service, and an RDS instance: https://github.com/trussworks/terraform-layout-example/tree/main/modules/aws-example-webapp
