Cloud backup
I can't find anything other than using rclone through Termux, which looks like it can sync to NextCloud. Nearly all threads default to Syncthing, which is device-to-device. Readers, please comment if you know of something else.

Make Reddit Clients alive again
Yes but it's also buggier. So if it doesn’t work with ReVanced Manager try with Revancify in Termux (https://github.com/termux/termux-app. Also i recommend not using official Termux since it's a little outdated and buggy. Instead use Termux Monet (https://github.com/HardcodedCat/termux-monet) it's less buggier and gets updated more often.

What happened to Termux? Why I can't see it?
Google now delists apps from the play store that don't target a recent Android version, which is not possible for Termux. Also the play store version can't be updated by the developers anymore, the new versions are on GitHub and f-droid. https://f-droid.org/en/packages/com.termux/ https://github.com/termux/termux-app
You need to download it from f droid, because if you not,you will have some problems with it. This is a link: https://f-droid.org/en/packages/com.termux/ Official site of termux give this link,so don't be afraid.

Linux Deploy: requires root, installs a complete Linux distribution of choice. Link: https://github.com/meefik/linuxdeploy/releases/tag/2.6.0. You mentioned that no root, then this variant is not for you.

Raspberry pi alternative for running pi hole?
The box I found online was pre-rooted, so I installed Linux Deploy and deployed the Pi-hole for Android image. That's all there is to it.

Linux OS to run on old smartphones for self-hosting stuff on docker ?
Hello u/drtechwp, you can actually selfhost a few services easily with Linux Deploy if you have your phone rooted: https://github.com/meefik/linuxdeploy
-
Self-Hosting uses for a 2-3 year old Android Device (Arm 64)
Cool I'm glad that you made it work! To free up RAM check this link: https://github.com/meefik/linuxdeploy/issues/1101
I'm not aware of any subreddit... most of the information I got came from Google or the wiki of Linux Deploy: https://github.com/meefik/linuxdeploy/wiki (check also the issues in the repository)

Is there a decent way to develop android apps using dex?
Proot using andronix/termux/other ways is generally a bad idea and gives very poor performance, beside android sdks don't exist for arm yet, afaik. Even if they do, theres no guarantee you can have it on android for obvious reasons. But if your "getting into development" is learning a new language, you can root your device and get linux deploy(chroot) running and have a more native-like experience (linux). Then you can get vscode (code-server) running. Some extensions will not show up on the extension marketplace because they either 1. Doesn't support code-server 2. Doesn't officially support code-server 3. /And doesn't support arm.
