Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.
Plex appreciation post: years of hoarding media, sharing to few family members and friends, easy to setup, update and play on many devices, i love It!

Is tailscale a possible solution here? Install it on both your parent's computer and your computer, and then, if both of you are running the software, then you're connected to the same private network. As already mentioned, teamviewer is probably the easier solution, but they dont have the best security record either.

As a founder, I've found time to be one of the most precious resources you have when building a start-up. You might find it useful to look into something like https://enclave.io/, https://tailscale.com/ or https://zerotier.com/ for your private networking requirements - it will be one less server for you to run (and pay for) and will probably save you time too.

How do you troubleshoot custom DERP servers?

I imagine you don't have the STUN port open. I realize that's undocumented so I filed https://github.com/tailscale/tailscale/issues/3419 to update our docs.

As silly and astonishing as it is, I've heard from some (mostly American) ISPs that a static IPv6 subnet is either not available for consumers or costs extra.
Yes, that's right, some ISPs rotate IPv6 subnets, negating many things IPv6 was invented for in the first place.
Tailscale, Nebula or any of the automagical VPN solutions you can run yourself (like Innernet, https://github.com/tonarino/innernet) will probably negate the issue as long as you can reach some server with a static IP.

Just a CLI, but there's Innernet: https://github.com/tonarino/innernet
I am tired of people in this sub treating VPN as "the golden hammer"

Similar to Tailscale is the Innernet project, which has similar goals but is fully open source (also built on Wireguard). I've heard that set-up is a bit more painful, but for those who are interested in FOSS or self-hosting, it might be worth looking into.
How do I make docker container ineraccessible from wireguard interface?
1 project | reddit.com/r/docker | 6 Aug 2021
Several VPS servers around the US connected to my laptop via wireguard mesh network. For wireguard mesh network Im using tool called innernet (https://github.com/tonarino/innernet). So basically its like my laptop and vps servers are on same internal network. VPS ip = 10.32.89.1 laptop ip = 10.32.90.1 Each server on the network has this virtual interface defined (not sure if this matters): innernet VPS server has mysql container where I dont expose 3306 port to the host. How can I make it - so I can connect to that dockerized mysql server from my laptop without mounting port to the host? and thus making it visible to everyone? Is that what docker macvlan is for? DO I need to create a network that has innernet interface as a parent or something? I've tried this: ```bash docker network create \ -d macvlan \ --attachable \ --subnet=188.8.131.52/24 \ --gateway=184.108.40.206 \ -o parent=innernet \ infranet2 ``` And then I've tried joinig mysql container to it: ```bash docker network connect infranet2 mysql-server ``` BUt I only get an error: ``` [email protected]:~$ sudo docker network connect infranet2mysql-server Error response from daemon: failed to create the macvlan port: invalid argument ```
