Tachiyomi for English manga
As the other commenter said, Tachiyomi is just the client. After installing Tachiyomi, you'll need to link/install the 3rd party sources that you want to read manga from. Tachiyomi calls them "extensions" and here is the full list of sources/extensions that are available.

November 2022 - No Manga November
If you haven't and you can't update extensions with the app closing all the time, you can proceed to the site to download.
Try to install directly: https://tachiyomi.org/extensions/
- Tachiyomi access and Read Markers are reenabled on Mangadex!

[DISC] MangaDex has unblocked Tachiyomi.
a bit techie tips: if you familiar with building apk, you can go to tachiyomi extension github, edit the user agent in source code here https://github.com/tachiyomiorg/tachiyomi-extensions/blob/master/src/all/mangadex/src/eu/kanade/tachiyomi/extension/all/mangadex/MangaDex.kt (remove tachiyomi part), build, install, and voila

July 2022 Support Megathread - Summer, Manga and jobless; That's you guys
Edit: I ask because this commit is mentioned in https://github.com/tachiyomiorg/tachiyomi-extensions/issues/12472 and was expecting it to solve some of the cloudflare issues
Extension requests go to the github extensions repo, but it has already been requested

Stump - self-hosted comic books, manga and digital book collections
This is looking really promising, I've tried most of the existing book/manga servers and didn't really like any of them for one reason or another (but usually because of bad UI/UX). Like someone else said already, Tachiyomi support would be amazing, I can't imagine reading manga any other way on Android devices. You can take a look at how the Komga extension works for reference.

Other discussion: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=38515563
Little bit context for those trying to decypher who is who, since some of the places show username, but others Gitlab display name.

Leaving F-Droid
Fyi, linked in the post is the statement in the fdroid GitLab org, https://gitlab.com/fdroid/admin/-/issues/447. This provides a bit more context. It also contains a reply from Hans regarding this statement.
> Never was a community-run project IME.
That's the impression given by posts linked here. The initiative to begin trying to transform it into a community-run project seems to have kicked off roughly 12 months or so ago[0] - and by all accounts seems to have been met with significant resistance from the bdfl that preceded it.

> Morgan mostions to approve up to US$5,000 for CoC training
https://gitlab.com/fdroid/admin/-/blob/master/board/meeting_...
Fdroid are spending $5000 on CoC training? You might be on to something!
The issue is hard to understand precisely because someone tried to conceal it: https://gitlab.com/fdroid/admin/-/issues/447#note_1674904906
And someone has tried the same here
You could have at least seen the joint statement[0] to know that it's not just one person complaining.
