FACEIT Anti-cheat - Secure boot requirement update!
This is not a false positive, there are security exploits in Process Hacker that are exploited by some cheats. I would suggest upgrading to the new version which is now called System Informer, where these issues are fixed. https://github.com/winsiderss/systeminformer

Sloth – A Mac app that shows all open files, directories, sockets, etc.
System Informer (formerly Process Hacker) might also have what you're looking for
- Name some underrated open source apps
- 'Be' is nice. End of story

fuck this shit I might do a factory reset it's just way too hectic, and yes I tried a lot of scanners and malware software but nothing scans this shit and it just keeps using my pc for mining fuck this shit
Download process hacker: https://processhacker.sourceforge.io/ - you may have to add this to your antivirus's exceptions list if it is detected as a virus. It's not.

TeamViewer installs suspicious font only useful for web fingerprinting
Nice discovery, indeed that is very suspicious, i wish Microsoft would have sorted out permissions for Windows..
This would help notice things like that earlier
I use this: https://processhacker.sourceforge.io/ gives me notifications whenever a process create/delete services, also has a nice CPU graph in the system tray, thanks to that i noticed Windows will eat your CPU/DISKs whenever you AFK, some telemetry/update thing running in the background.. even when you just idle watching a video.. inefficient telemetry software.. sweet.. what a time to be alive

[List] Let's talk about the software you can't live without. Here is my list
FYI Process Hacker is now System Informer, and hopefully a new release is coming out soon.
ProcessHacker - improved task manager, shows all running processes in a tree structure (Free • Open Source)

How to Find and Stop Running Queries on PostgreSQL
The trick is to run "taskkill" as user SYSTEM, using "run as". It will kill anything and everything, including generating a nice BSOD if you feel like (kill System process).
Or if you're a GUI kind of guy and want a nice interface with plenty of options I recommend "Process Hacker" (https://processhacker.sourceforge.io/).

JMAP – a much needed modern email open standard
I was hopeful that https://www.nylas.com/ would be the de-facto "adapter" placing a common API surface on top of the major providers and dragging them into a modern-API world. They even had an email client of their own as a proof of concept (forked by one of the original authors as https://github.com/Foundry376/Mailspring - and its reusable core https://github.com/Foundry376/Mailspring-Sync may be interesting to many here). But they've pivoted towards making their API only available behind B2B contracts and opaque pricing, and primarily used for corporate email monitoring and CRM use cases - perhaps because security and privacy considerations are nontrivial. I'm still rooting for them but it's a shadow of what it could have been.

The Future of Thunderbird: Why We’re Rebuilding from the Ground Up
I love Mailspring, it's modern and open source: https://getmailspring.com/
The UI uses Electron, but the actual sync engine is in C++, so it's pretty fast.

Cross Platform Email Client
Mailspring, which is open source, is currently my recommendation for a desktop email client.
- Switched from Windows. My two-day path: here's what I immediately liked and disliked.

How do I find my other apps on the taskbar? I'm using a yoga on portrait mode
For email, I'd like to recommend Mailspring. Free, and the best mail app imo in Windows 11 compared to other similar one.
