Modding Question
If you mean using Nexus' Mod Manager, SteamTinkerLaunch handles installing Vortex through Proton. So you could always just use that as you already are used to.

Fallout 4 - A modding headache (i.e. how I suck at Linux) : Questions
If you want to use MO2 or Vortex on Linux, your best bet is steamtinkerlaunch: https://github.com/sonic2kk/steamtinkerlaunch/wiki/Steam-Deck
Vortex is apparently borked on the Deck atm, which is weird, because I managed to install it via Protonqt several weeks ago, even if it didn't work properly,

- Valve, not every game, and especially older games, can enable anti-aliasing. Just give us this checkbox, the one every GPU driver in Windows already has but the Steam Deck doesn't. I'll settle for a launch argument I can add. Come on. My Need For Speed III is so chunky and aliased. :(

NieR: Automata Modding Guide. FAR, HD Texture Mods, LodMod, and ReShade on the Steam Deck!
I personally have been using the ReShade Install Script for Proton/Linux. As of ReShade v 5.6.0 it works out of the box with this setup.

I love Linux. I want to game on it. But its really difficult to rationalize a change because of issues. Help & opinions appreciated.
You can also use this reshade-linux script to install reshade directly into the prefix. Gives a lot more options than the default vkBasalt ones and also a UI Ingame to change settings on the fly.

What are some useful tools or tricks you've found that improve your linux gaming experience?
I highly recommand ReShade: https://github.com/kevinlekiller/reshade-steam-proton You can find here a database of presets you can use with ReShade. Bad presets can kill your FPS though, but good ones can make your game very beautiful but only demand like 1-3 FPS.
- MFW when everyone talks about a lot of games being supported on Linux. But all the games I want to play, including mods, does not work no matter how hard I try to get them working. In return, I ended up playing emulators on my new $2000 PC.
