Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

Add A Comment System To A Jekyll Blog Using Staticman - 1 / 2
Another possible solution to add dynamic content to a GitHub website is to use staticman. On the opposite of the previous solutions using external databases, staticman creates files in your repository, updating your website statically. It is free and open-source but not as straightforward to implement as disqus. The nice thing is that it will store all your comments in your git repository, so there is no risk of losing them.
Hence this is done, go to the staticman GitHub repository and fork it.

Any no-code / low-code product that would allow me to add comments that is not Disqus?
Commento (https://commento.io/ ) is a nice service that I've used with static site generators like Hugo -- very easy to add to a project - no real coding required to include it, and people can add comments to your blog etc... Honest straightforward pricing model for their SASS offering, and it's open source, so you can host it yourself if you have a server.

Self Hosted Weekly Roundup #3
I use Commento. There's a self hosted version here https://github.com/adtac/commento but I use the paid version which is $99/yr just to be supportive of a great solution.

Design of This Website
Have you considered switching to Commento [1] instead of Disqus? It is way more lightweight than Disqus, has spam filter and allows importing from Disqus.
