  • Is a bracket within a bracket possible? (HTML/CSSS)
    4 projects | reddit.com/r/HTML | 13 Aug 2022
The term you are looking for is "nesting". CSS currently does not support it. But there is a draft being worked on. No browser currently supports it, though. Most CSS Pre- or Postprocessors like Sass, Less, Stylus, PostCSS support nesting.
  • Absolute newbie when it comes to CSS, why am I getting errors with this chunk of copy-pasted code?

hey, this isn't CSS, its SASS (a preprocessor / better version of CSS), There're a lot of converters online from which you can convert SASS code to CSS Code, the one i use is Scout-App which is opensource and recommended by SASS developers.
  • The developer's refactoring safety net

Engage tools such as TypeScript and SCSS but by this time the code base was quite mature so the return on investment of doing this was questionable. The effort required to retrofit these tools was disproportionate to the potential gain (even long term).
  • Maven Sass integration

Sass is an interesting language for generating CSS files that I'm currently trying to play around with. Unfortunately, the existing sass-maven-plugin are based on obsolete implementations, and adding a dependency on npm seems really cumbersome.
  • Developer docs: What do you like to see first?
    2 projects | news.ycombinator.com | 26 Jul 2022
Synopsis first, with real examples. Rather than reading through parts of guides which are either irrelevant or already known, I like to see what it does, as in code/config with comments. When searching for a developer’s product I already know what I’m looking for and how it might look like. Synopsis gives a rich picture, which (even if not very clear in details) either matches expectations or does not.

Guides are good for learning, manual references are good for referencing to details. Synopses are good for wading through possible options and not wasting your time. Landings are idk what for, most landings are useless marketing nonsense. Delete it, add some examples.

    Good example: https://lesscss.org/

Mature, industry approved, feature rich, stable and powerful professional makes your hair silky and smooth example: https://sass-lang.com/
