running script via cron does not provide full output
If you read the docs for Speedtest-CLI you will see that the program timeouts after 10 seconds. Try using this for default timeout of 1 minute and also redirect errors to the same file. speedtest-cli --timeout 60 >> /bin/speedtestoutput.txt 2>&1

I'm not a python developer but I went to GitPythons github page and searched sparse_checkout in their code. There were no hits. But there was one discussion thread which said that this function is not available and to use git directly.
