It really doesn't matter if you are standing up a websockets server (examples being socket.io or signalR). Matters even less if you use a platform like Twilio Conversations API or GetStream.io.
How to scale a socket.io server to many concurrent users.
2 projects | reddit.com/r/node | 22 Jan 2022
I have a socket.io nodejs server. Was wondering how do I scale my application for large number of concurrent users (say 10k) in AWS.2 projects | reddit.com/r/node | 22 Jan 2022
Yes, the application has many concurrent users daily and we are building a new feature/ service which uses socket.io for real-time communication.
How to orchestrate a system to push live events to multiple users?
2 projects | reddit.com/r/softwarearchitecture | 22 Jan 2022
If you only need to update a client, a technology like socket.io or SignalR to allow your client to subscribe. I use these services to send a lightweight payload trigger a rest call to pull down the full data. These tools will make it easier to manage your use case above.2 projects | reddit.com/r/softwarearchitecture | 22 Jan 2022
The socket.io might be simple enough for me, setting up Kafka or RabbitMQ might be a cumbersome task for me.

Ask HN: Anyone making a living building desktop applications?

Upgrade to Maui now or wait
1 project | reddit.com/r/dotnetMAUI | 1 Jan 2022
You could try updating your current project, but I wouldn't put to much time into it if you run into bugs, there seem to be a lot of unfinished things in the more complex controls. I guess migrations between versions will be the smallest problem, you can find guides in their wiki https://github.com/dotnet/maui/wiki
