I am working on a Linux native Mod Manager.
It's exciting to see someone else try to tackle the same problem as me. Approximately a year ago i also attempted to implement a mod manager for Linux, but the progress halted a bit when i got satisfied with how i could mod STALKER Anomaly (plus some other errands which ate up my time).

I've seen that case insensitivity is a big deal (which is a shame, but i guess that is due to different name handling on *tux/Windows. Luckily it isn't the worst problem to handle, and can be followed here
