From what I've experienced giving technical support to Oculus headsets users is anyone who's using SkyrimVR or more importantly mods should use open composite as it bypasses SteamVR and gives a great boost on FPS... Not having steams bloated systems makes it much better and quicker to load... Once you have open composite installed I used the DLL from the site not the system wide as I'm not wanting it with other games... Open Composite This is basically dropping a DLL in then main steam folder, remember to backup the original incase you want to go back... And remember you can also go to your game in steam library and turn off the screen overlay not many people use it when in VR...
