Ask HN: What are your “scratch own itch” projects?
I didn't appreciate developing Azure Pipelines in YAML so I've created a library that lets you use C# instead.
Aside the apparent advantages of the strong typed environment, I was able to bake in many more features that make your life easier. Code reuse is also super easy.

Sharpliner - Use C# instead of YAML to define pipelines
I did sort of explore this possibility here: https://github.com/sharpliner/sharpliner/issues/7
-
YAML vs Classic pipelines
In case you are struggling with YAML pipelines syntax/scheme, you can also use a library I created that lets you use C# instead called Sharpliner: https://github.com/sharpliner/sharpliner (not sure if C# is more close to you)

changedetection.io releases 0.40.0.1 update.
Keep track of when beta firmware for my router is released. This one unfortunately sends a lot of spurious notifications due to this issue because I can't filter out updates for other models.
Thanks I added that to the Microsoft Windows wiki page https://github.com/dgtlmoon/changedetection.io/wiki/Microsoft-Windows
u/dgtlmoon123 - do you plan on making any documentation on how to use this? It was really difficult to find this wiki and even then is severely lacking. Would be nice if you could also add things for Firefox, seems you only focus on Chrome?
Your favourite reddit inspired opensource website change detection and notification app just had a minor but relatively important update, this one includes API improvements and tonnes of fixes for notifications - much love ❤️❤️❤️ https://github.com/dgtlmoon/changedetection.io

What are your top self hosted services that you are very satisfied with ?
changedetection - Checking sites for stuff like in stock notifications, price changes, etc.

Ask HN: What's on Your Home Server?
I rely on docker-compose, Traefik, and a few simple shell scripts for most of my setup. Each service I have in its own directory with their own `data/` and `config/` directories. Overall, self-hosting has been far less work than I expected. Generally speaking, things don't break and are quite easy to get up and running. I will put * beside strongly recommended services.
- changedetection This monitors webpages for changes and sends you notifications on multiple streams when they change. This is the service I have found the most awkward and least useful! (https://github.com/dgtlmoon/changedetection.io)

Introducing HomelabAPI v0.1 - A self-hosted API that you can use to consolidate all of your homelab notifications and other outputs
This looks very intriguing! Would it work with changedetection? https://github.com/dgtlmoon/changedetection.io

Is there any sort of centralized service that can ping you with an eMail or an SMS whenever your OSS of choice punts a new release?
Possibly changedetection.io could be of some use to you for this?

An app that checks Reddit, FB Marketplace, Ebay etc for new posts and outputs it to somewhere.
https://github.com/dgtlmoon/changedetection.io sounds like it could work if you configured it to alert to some external system (it supports many). I tried it out but it's a little heavyweight for what I wanted. Kinda tricky to configure but it is very powerful.
