privacy-focused metasearch engines, like SearXNG[1] and 4get[2], should be considered more comprehensive and private than any one index or engine.

One of my biggest gripes with Google search these days are it's bad UI. Started using searxng a few years ago when Google made everything above the fold useless videos and dynamically poping in content to accedently click.

Use a meta-search engine like SearXNG [1] and point it at Google/DDG/Brave/Bing/... and you'll be spared the mediocrity that is all those sponsored results, the profiling, the personalised results (which I consider to be a good thing to leave out, others may disagree) and you'll also start noticing which engine remains quiet on certain queries. You can easily run SearXNG yourself on that same SBC which you got to run your own mail and XMPP server [2], it doesn't take much (if any) maintenance and can - with the Recoll engine - also be used to search your own network.

The solution you need is SearxNG. Here's one public instace that you can use to look at Google's search results.

Initially I was using https://searx.tiekoetter.com which works perfect on mobile but google seems to have removed results from it now

This one caught my eye, it has a lot of redirect for private front-ends, but like I said, it's hosted by the same person too.

Search engines for the clearnet: SearX (Instance example: https://searx.tiekoetter.com), Startpage.

i use a wikipedia mirror cause i didnt bother changing my search engine ( https://searx.tiekoetter.com ) to not redirect there. its not more reliable (in fact its less) because it fetches the data from wikipiedia each time, but its theoretically more private. i dont care about that though im just lazy.

You can use Duck Duck go or Startpage if you want, I use Searx public instances (e.g. https://searx.be/search ; https://searx.tiekoetter.com/ ; https://search.sapti.me/search). All public instances can be found here.

This instance I personally use but you must select fast engines.
