Seafile VS onedrive

An alternative for file sharing: Seafile works for me quite well.

I personally avoided Seafile because of this. I guess it's up to each person to make their own judgement.

Seafile is a high-performance tool for syncing and sharing files. Features include markdown WYSIWYG editing, Wiki, file labeling, a drive client, privacy protection and more. Our thanks for the recommendation go to jcm4atx.

seafile or filerun are both pretty good options with mobile support.

Next is using a platform-agnostic sync utility such as Resilio, SyncThing, or SeaFile to sync to a designated OneDrive syncer Windows device (VM or some cheap laptop or smth). Personally, I prefer Resilio, but I've used SyncThing for a long while and they're fine if you're not going to also sync to phone (where you'd want selective sync which they don't have).

try changing that to e.g. the android (or windows) onedrive client's id.

this trick works for exchange (allowing third-party mail clients).

I first started with this onedrive client https://github.com/abraunegg/onedrive (+ the GUI package) and got it working fine, but it seems like a sync all-or-nothing deal.

I have used an app called, appropriately, onedrive. The git repository and info is here. Once you connect to OneDrive (not hard to do at all) you can do anything in the folder and when you start the command from the CLI it will sync the files to your account and update the files on the server. There are a few custom options you can set to streamline. I used it for a long time syncing with Windows and it works great.
