In addition to The Book and Rust by Example which others have mentioned, Rustlings is also a really good resource for getting used to reading & writing Rust, and getting used to reading compiler errors: https://github.com/rust-lang/rustlings

How to Write Neovim Plugins in Rust
2 projects | reddit.com/r/neovim | 21 Nov 2021
I actually got started with throwing together a basic version of this plugin, using rust-analyzer via null-ls to hobble along. Then I went through rustlings which is a repo of small exercises to help you get used to reading and writing Rust. Once I did that and got more used to Rust, I essentially did a full rewrite of the plugin with much better and more idiomatic Rust code.
Dash.nvim users, please help me test these changes

I'm still pretty new to Rust. I just recently finished going through rustlings, and now that I've gotten more comfortable writing idiomatic Rust, I've been working on a huge refactor of Dash.nvim's Rust internals.
Looking for some guidance

I would also recommend https://github.com/rust-lang/rustlings, which has some exercises for beginners. This will get you reading and writing actual code. Theres also rust-by-example which has some exercises https://doc.rust-lang.org/rust-by-example/index.html.
