Is there a way (plugin or something?) to output the gcode viewer to an rtsp stream?
If you want to stream your webcam as an H264 encoded rtsp stream, it can be done with either rtsp-simple-server or V4l2rtspserver And it is possible to stream a linux desktop (and any program that might be open, like your web browser with the gcode viewer running on it) with the V4l2Loopback device and either of the two prgrams above. It is quite an involved process, but it is do-able.

Using intermittent video stream from usb camera to RTSP
I've tried using ffmpeg and rtsp simple server:
-
My parents need a NAS
Ok, you need a NAS or their Cloud, a simple USB drive won't do it. The important thing is you need the receiving device to offer a transfer protocol named 'RTSP'. Modern Synology, QNAP, and MyCloud (by WD) devices support RTSP, although different methods to connect. Eufy Cloud would be the easiest method, next is Synology NAS is simple to setup with Eufy instruction, but since you have some hardware you can run things like this: https://github.com/aler9/rtsp-simple-server but obviously that will take more time and effort.

NVR: using RTSP-IP-Cam to HLS with adaptive bandwidth
Very cool - going to try this out later. I had something similar on my todo list, but figured I would use: https://github.com/aler9/rtsp-simple-server

RTMP with nginx and OBS on Ubuntu
I had a nightmare setting this up for my streams. I ended up going with rtsp-simple-server as it seems to work a little quicker and is much better documented. There is an option to toggle between always having a stream "live" or stop when there are no viewers

Does anyone know how to send esp32 video frames to a server of some kind?
Here is one example that I found (there are more). https://github.com/aler9/rtsp-simple-server

Finally got the X1C internal camera working with Blue Iris (Go Live Feature)
Then get the OBS rtsp plugin on github (https://github.com/iamscottxu/obs-rtspserver/releases) and install this too. You can access it through the tools tab in UBS and configure it to send out the OBS picture through an rtsp stream.

Using OctoPrint on windows
I haven’t done it but all you should need to do is setup OBS to stream to a RTSP and tweak OctoPrint to see it.

OBS 28.1.2 output to RTSP Server
Ah. Well, there's this version luckily: https://github.com/iamscottxu/obs-rtspserver/releases/tag/v3.0.0-beta3

Using an iPad as a wireless display with KDE (Howto)
Also, an alternative that might be useful if you do want to watch some sort of video (or if Krfb likes to crash after a while) is to use OBS to create a virtual screen and adding the RTSP server plugin to it, you can then use VLC to connect to the stream, although there will likely be a significant amount of latency (1-2 seconds in my case) with that option.

M3U link support
just found out about this, something like this is probably what you'd be looking for https://obsproject.com/forum/resources/obs-rtspserver.1037/

Turn Windows tablet's webcam into RTSP stream for my server?
Alternately it looks like there's a plugin for OBS to publish rtsp streams. It's overkill but would work.

Streaming from OBS to Streamlink
I have a project where I need to stream gameplay from several computers to a couple of Yodecks, which are basically just digital signage Raspberry Pi's. The Yodeck software uses Streamlink as it's backend for streaming video. Everything is on the same local network. I've tried using the RTSP server plugin, and while it technically works, the quality is terrible and it freezes constantly. Streaming from OBS to Twitch, and then having the Yodeck grab the Twitch stream works with only a few seconds lag (acceptable), but I'd prefer not to have the video leave the network since I'm not sure how good our actual bandwidth will be on site during the event.
- Using OBS to stream my pc to my phone ( simple ping as example, but this can be anything from servers to movies ). Quite useful.
What are some alternatives?
ustreamer - µStreamer - Lightweight and fast MJPEG-HTTP streamer
v4l2rtspserver - RTSP Server for V4L2 device capture supporting HEVC/H264/JPEG/VP8/VP9
Restreamer - The Restreamer is a complete streaming server solution for self-hosting. It has a visually appealing user interface and no ongoing license costs. Upload your live stream to YouTube, Twitch, Facebook, Vimeo, or other streaming solutions like Wowza. Receive video data from OBS and publish it with the RTMP and SRT server.
obs-StreamFX - StreamFX is a plugin for OBS® Studio which adds many new effects, filters, sources, transitions and encoders! Be it 3D Transform, Blur, complex Masking, or even custom shaders, you'll find it all here.
mediadevices - Go implementation of the MediaDevices API.
obs-backgroundremoval - An OBS plugin for removing background in portrait images (video), making it easy to replace the background when recording or streaming.
owncast - Take control over your live stream video by running it yourself. Streaming + chat out of the box.
SysDVR - Stream switch games to your PC via USB or network
go-m3u8 - Parse and generate m3u8 playlists for Apple HTTP Live Streaming (HLS) in Golang (ported from gem https://github.com/sethdeckard/m3u8)
obs-text-slideshow - OBS plugin inspired by the built in image slideshow, except for text sources instead. Both Free Type 2 and GDI+ are supported.
livekit-server - Scalable, high-performance WebRTC SFU. SDKs in JavaScript, React, React Native, Flutter, Swift, Kotlin, Unity/C#, Go, Ruby and Node. [Moved to: https://github.com/livekit/livekit]
glances - Glances an Eye on your system. A top/htop alternative for GNU/Linux, BSD, Mac OS and Windows operating systems.
