What's with the hate towards steam achievements?
so on a personal level, I still chase achievements and have 100%'d a few on steam, but nothing is firing off in my brain like PS (and XB) achievements do. I enjoy getting RetroAchievements more than Steam achievements. I am also much less likely to play a game on PC if it lacks Steam achievements

CRTemudriver is working- here's how I did it.
CRTemudriver is working, Retroarch is configured with super-resolutions, and I'm finally collecting retroachievements on the consumer CRT @ native console and arcade resolution.

achievement points kinda ruined me playing retro games
It's slick and plugs into emulators. In retroarch it's as simple as logging on in the options. They pop up when activated just like any modern platform.

What are some less obvious ways emulation features enhance your gameplay experience?
Integration with retro achievements is pretty rad https://retroachievements.org/

Who Else enjoys retro achievements?
Overall the achievements itself are really awesome! The associated website is https://retroachievements.org/ . After you created an account there, you just open the settings menu in RetroArch and login with your RetroAchievements account and
You can't get them ON the DS. You need to use a DS emulator (on your PC, phone, etc.). You don't need to download anything assuming you already have RetroArch. All you need to do to start earning achievements is make a free account on https://retroachievements.org/, and in RetroArch turn on achievements and enter your credentials. Achievements for regular DS (not DSi) already exist and for most other retro consoles too.
