Reminds me of BGRABitmap from Lazarus/FreePascal.

(BGRAControls contains the BGRABitmap components).
It's sad Lazarus/FreePascal doesn't get much play, because high quality libraries like this have existed for years for it and it seems to not get much traction.
What are some alternatives?
