Hopefully releasing the next version of listenbrainz-rs, which adds support for custom ListenBrainz API URLs, so I can integrate it in rescrobbled (universal music scrobbler daemon for MPRIS-enabled players) and release the next version of that as well.

Well, I have the perfect solution for you. :) It's not a deadbeef plugin, but a user daemon that can load the track information from any player and can submit to Last.fm, Libre.fm and ListenBrainz.
The project is on github and I believe it's packaged for Archlinux, Fedora, openSUSE.
