After parsing the input RP2 uses high-precision math to calculate long/short term capital gains, cost bases, balances, average price, in/out lot relationships/fractions, and finally it generates output spreadsheets.

RP2's data loader DaLI (https://pypi.org/project/dali-rp2/) works with Coinbase and Coinbase Pro REST API (make sure to use read-only permissions when setting up your keys). REST API is better than CSV because it typically gives more information, allowing tax software to do a better job.
