I use Formik in an app of mine, but I wouldn't pick formik for a new React project.
  • Formik Works Great; Here's Why I Wrote My Own

If you've looked into form validation with React, you'll likely have heard of Formik. My first run-in with Formik was at a large company I worked; it was already established as the go-to form library for our projects, and I immediately fell in love with it.

I wonder if any of you used react-hook-form or formik and if you did, what where the struggles that you had? I'm interested in particular scenarios that you encountered. Components that did not really click. Stories where you had to throw everything out and start from scratch, that sort of thing.

Firstly thank you for all your help on other issues through countless forum/github comments! Secondly, this worked a treat - turns out it was an issue with Formik (PR) using a legacy version of deepmerge .

So here's more of my learning path, if you are interested: I used to work as a SaaS sales person, during which time, from company's trainning and communicating with clients, I was able to understand most software's features in deepth, of course from a applicability and mathcing client's need point of view. After resignation, I spent most my time doing Freecodecamp's tutorial, from the most basic computer sicense course(it was part of the python's course, and I think it is the most noob friendly) to html css(from then on, javascript), and that explain why my commits are fairly concentrated in the last couple of months, as for the typescript generics and app optimization, my understandings are, don't get too caught up with it, unless I have to, and interestingly enough, I asked one of contributors once, on how to use Formik's generics from this github discussion. As for the Vuejs thing, most company in the city I live in are hiring vuejs devs, so, I think I'd better answer for job market's demand, I am that type of person willing to learn and pass my knowledge to those like myself, the stackoverflow activity wasn't solely to impress interviewer. I know what it feels like when facing a bug, and I am more than happy to help as it fits.
