react-tabs VS react-datepicker

I'd just use a plugin and follow the documentation: https://reactcommunity.org/react-tabs/

In my electron application, I have an xterm.js ( https://xtermjs.org/) terminal emulator, in one of my react tabs`. How do I preserve the state of this terminal so that when the use go out and back the text, cursor position etc still is there? the usual approach in react is just use state variables, set it in the parent component and pass it down to the child on renderer but since xterm.js isn't a react component itself, by now I have no idea how to do that.

react-datepicker is a lightweight library with a lot of features.

I have added a date picker to my application. I want to make the selected date section read-only, but when I add readonly to the input, it blocks the entire date picker. I need to do this in css or its component. (without js)

I searched for alternative date pickers to use in place of the default HTML one. I found out that there is a React Date Picker component that can be used in place of the field.

The trending project I researched and selected is react-datepicker https://github.com/Hacker0x01/react-datepicker/ I chose this project because datetime selection is a hard problem (localization, internationalization, accessibility, time zones, etc.) that we encounter daily, so a good library could be / can be very helpful.

I showed my team a "pretty good" version using react-hook-forms and react-datepicker, but when they asked me to move and resize and reshape and change colors, it was like I had to hack and custom build and add !important everywhere to override built in CSS, so much that is was decided it would be more efficient to build it from scratch.
