react-native-windows VS VDX

Microsoft is using React Native for Windows [0] for their Office applications [1]. As a fan of RN this would be the first avenue I’d explore if I had to develop something for Windows.

There's also MAUI (.NET) and React Native desktop.

Sometimes yeah they can become a real pain in the a$$. With RN you can make good looking and dynamic layouts with minimum effort. On the other hand when trying to implement logic my main and continuous issues I am facing is with the async parts . Apart from I am all in for RN . I am going to give it a try for a windows app with https://microsoft.github.io/react-native-windows .And if it works fine (which means you get your self away from C#) it will be a really powerful tool for me .

you sound more like a zealot than someone trying to make a point. you can deploy to desktop with react native and have been able to for years now, courtesy of Microsoft: https://microsoft.github.io/react-native-windows/

I recall using VDX in the past to use the ps remote program with a ds3 : https://github.com/ViGEm/VDX

Maybe using VDX, as you can create a virtual ds4 from a xinput device: https://github.com/ViGEm/VDX

To get other controllers working, you can use a program called Xinput to Vigem. Allows you to emulate a DualSense using whichever controller you have connected to your PC. Run it, set it to DualSense, then fire up the official remote play app.

You need a program called Xinput to Vigem. Run that, it will show you what controller is connected, then use the dropdown to select what type of controller you want to emulate. Been using it to remote play Persona 5 Royal.

Trying to find a way to emulate my xbox controller as a PS4 controller for PS4 remote play. I used to use a program on windows, https://github.com/ViGEm/VDX/releases and i've always seen stuff for DS4Windows but have never tried it. Obviously these programs won't work on my mac.

I have the same problem; as a workaround I use VDX (https://github.com/ViGEm/VDX, pre-built releases https://buildbot.vigem.org/builds/VDX/master/). This bridges the controller-like output to a virtual Xbox360 controller but leaves stuff like F5-mappings etc. untouched.
