react-native-image-picker VS multer

I'm going to be getting images from the user (using react-native-image-picker) saving them in Firebase Cloud Storage.

Have you tried a different camera package? react-native-image-picker might be worth a shot.

Once we have that we need to write a function that locates images on the device and displays them for the user to select. Luckily there is a third-party library called React Native Image Picker that will do most of this for us. So, let’s create a function to call this library, it should look something like this.

Some basic examples of popular packages in the Javascript community include Express (a framework for building server applications) and Multer (a middleware for handling file uploads). These packages, when integrated into your project, can significantly streamline your development process.

busboy is what many Express middleware's such as multer use under the hood.

Multer has some functions used to determine what type of file(s) to expect from the API request. Here we have used the 'multer.single("file")' function to let multer know that we're expecting a single file. (The full multer documentation can be found here).

For this specific use case we are using express for the server, and to enable FormData support in express we need the multer middleware, so if you're familiar with express at all this should look familiar,

Now, let's create a simple server using Express and Multer in order to see that the files we sent are received by the server successfully.
