react-calendar VS react-big-calendar

I’ve worked withreact-calendar in the past and really liked it. It has nice date features and the styling is highly customizable!

I am working on a simple Calendar app only using [react big calendar](https://www.npmjs.com/package/react-big-calendar) which is inside a functional component. I want to fill the calendar with events from an API running on localhost:5000. How can I POST data and call the API inside a functional component and make the events from API reflect to the calendar? You can use react big calendar its free and open source, and its really good

react-big-calendar is pretty solid. I found the docs to be a little tough to parse when trying to customize some of the views, but looking specifically at the Calendar component helped with that. You'll need one of three datetime libraries that they mention in their docs, one of which is Moment, but you've got two other options. I liked date-fns, haven't used Globalize.

Cardable has four models, Users, Games, Tables, and TimeSlots. Users log in with a username and password and can have many games. Games have a title, number of players, suggested play time, description, and can have many TimeSlots. Tables have a "location" and also have many TimeSlots. TimeSlots represent "events" and have a start time, end time, as well as an "All Day" boolean which are all necessary properties for configuring react-big-calendar, a package I used for the scheduling feature.
