Please Help. I have installed everything yet tnote dos note work, there is nothing on the net now.
Maybe jump over on their github and suggest a change? Or perhaps just make your own copy and put it out there for everyone? I have to say it doesn't look like the program has had a lot of love as of late.

request: some "scratchpad" program
If you use KDE, you can use KNotes. A multi platform alternative can be CherryTree. A command line alternative can be tnote, but all of these solutions needs extra dependencies. So, only solution seems vim or emacs with org mode
