Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.

Created and printed my own outdoor/hiking map using QGIS and OpenStreeMap
The whole project is on GitHub under GPLv3, so that you can use it, extend it or use it as template/inspiration for your own maps.

I have put the steps and description of how here https://github.com/ansonl/DEM2STL. The relevant parts are split between the README and scratch.sh files. I would like to bring all the steps into a single script or app that people can run in the future but I'm still making changes to the calculations to improve the result.
