I built a telegram bot for removing background from pictures
3 projects | reddit.com/r/SideProject | 24 May 2022
I've developed it using python 3.9 and the library python-telegram-bot which is really awesome. The bot receives updates and messages directly from the Telegram webhook, much better and faster than the hold "polling" method!

it's based on the Python Telegram Bot framework (they call it a wrapper but if you include the extensions it's basically a framework).
I've built a wrapper that makes building Telegram Bots a lot easier

I had never heard of that wrapper, but twhile that one seems to be an implementation from the ground up using async and await, the wrapper i made is based on the official python wrapper from telegram and uses a more object oriented approach to ease the developement of bots.

I understand the whole part of writing the code, but how does the actual deployment of an app work? I have been playing around to better understand it, trying to deploy the python telegram bot on my webhosting. https://github.com/python-telegram-bot/python-telegram-bot
Using Python decorators to process and authorize requests

To communicate with Telegram bot-API I use the python-telegram-bot library. It processes each message or other type of communication via separate handlers: functions that receive update details and overall bot context.

🧹🔎 Since I have allergic bronchitis instigated mainly by dust, I designed this Jigglypuff-themed PCB to monitor the dust density (mg/m3) and the carbon dioxide (CO2) levels (ppm) in my room remotely via a Telegram bot.

What are some things you have automated, using python?
3 projects | reddit.com/r/Python | 10 Oct 2021
I wanted to code a tool that lets me send messages to a WhatsApp account as well but got deterred from that rather quickly as it does not seem like WhatsApp has an API that can be used freely. I then looked at Telegram and they have what they call the Telegram bot API where you can set up a bot with which you can receive and send messages, gifs, stickers and so on. It’s a bot complicated to start but there are also wrappers that might be easier for a beginner.
