pycord VS discord.py

Pycord | Docs | A different fork. Can't say much. Tried to help people that use it and it didn't seem very cool. Plus, I've heard the support server is super childish.

So the “tickets” are a currency? If so that should be pretty simple; You just need a database like Mariadb|Docker and a way to interact with it, like sqlalchemy, then you just pick your favorite bot framework, like pycord, and build it. These are based on python but there should be node or whatever other language you prefer equivalents.

I haven't worked with the new features yet, but you can check out the example on the pycord repo. It should be enough to get you started.

You have to install it from their GitHub. So, on your terminal run py -m pip install git+https://github.com/Pycord-Development/pycord.git, assuming you are on Windows.

Pycord is a bad fork in my opinion. I recommend using discord.py until it's entirely dead and then switching to enhanced-discord.py (Or switching to it right now). You can get slash commands with discord.py using slash_util. You can also switch to a completely different Python Discord API wrapper, like hikari.

There are more unofficial libraries like Pycord or Nextcord, but I would just go with an officially vetted one because they're more trustworthy. I think discord.py is the most popular, but it's not in development anymore.

to be frankly most discord bot tutorials are awful, your linked repository is pretty bad too the "official" examples: https://github.com/Rapptz/discord.py/blob/master/examples/reply.py aren't bad at least

Here is link for repository of discord.py examples. Just go trought code and documentation and find stuff out. Its good to learn this stuff because you will need in some time (for example now)

1) Using / as your command prefix is silly, don't do this. Just make actual slash commands.

If you’re using python there are lots of examples on the discordpy github (make sure to use app commands otherwise it will not be slash commands) for discord.js there is discordjs.guide. Just a few examples. You have the entire internet at your hands. When in doubt, google it :)
