Faster module tests with Facter 4 and rspec-puppet

We started by decoupling Puppet from Facter as much as we could, introducing the possibility of having multiple Facter backends. While Puppet would use the default Facter implementation when running on its own, external users would be able to define and pass their own Facter implementation when initializing Puppet, similar to how puppetserver configures Puppet to use its JRuby-compliant HTTP client.
When you are writing IaC, do you consider that to be programming?

7 Open Source Cloud Native Tools That Aren’t Kubernetes
4 projects | dev.to | 16 Jun 2022
I spent some years pretty deep in the Infrastructure as Code world (I worked as an SRE at Puppet and was a Puppet user before that), and it’s a topic that still interests me quite a bit. For a while I thought Terraform had won the cloud provisioning tools space, and maybe it still has, but Pulumi is a newer alternative with some pretty cool aspects.

Tangential: the readme mentions Pulumi , an Infratructure-as-Code tool I hadn't heard of before.
As an IaC tool, can anyone speak of how it fits in the landscape compared to Chef, Puppet, Ansible, SaltStack, and, oh, Terraform?
What are some alternatives?
