pitwall VS f1viewer

I made a few toy projects in Rust, such as interacting with the F1 2022 game taking its UDP packets and parsing that information into a terminal application. I called that Pitwall, as it's mean to look a lot like what the team get on the F1 pitwall. But I have most recently been working on more serious projects. My company makes dispatching software for Fire / Police / EMS, and I rebuilt our Dispatching Damon in Rust. It has some pretty nice things such as WebPush and WebSockets right in the dispatching Daemon that makes it way easier to do things for notifications and also sending unit activity information back to the main CAD system.

Both - before the widevine DRM was introduced last year the live stream through f1viewer also had the higher bitrate. They're using different CDN depending on the endpoint used to access the API one with lower bitrate and other one with a higher.

F1 viewer is the big one i think

Download on your PC (f1viewer is multiplatform if you're a linux or macos user) and copy the video to your phone - i haven't seen any mobile apps that support downloading yet.

Race Control is one of the previously popular 3rdparty clients for f1tv, but like f1viewer, they rely on external players that don't support streaming with widevine DRM.

This ia one of the reasons many people on /r/F1TV suggest /r/F1MultiViewer and previously other 3rdparty viewers like Race Control and F1Viewer, before they introduced DRM to the live streams this year in April.

f1viewer is not f1mv :)

I just discovered https://github.com/SoMuchForSubtlety/f1viewer but I haven't used it yet. Does anyone here recommend this tool? If not, do you have any suggestions?
