Once you have copied the wallet.dat file to a USB, then you can reinstall the wallet. I am not clear on that error message you received, but I would start with leaving the datadir, and just replace the binary, which you can download here: https://github.com/PirateNetwork/pirate/releases/download/v5.4.2/pirate-qt-MacOS-v5.4.2.dmg

Thoughts? Seems devs admitted to taking GPLv3 code from Hush. Instead of changing on GitHub, they made new repo on GitLab and made changes there. https://github.com/PirateNetwork/pirate

Do research on more than just the crypto coin or token you want to invest in. Research the ecosystem in its entirety. Ways you can earn with that crypto and how to navigate through the ecosystem. It is hard to say what one should do when investing. What was a good trade for one person may not be for you. Look into the Cosmos ecosystem (https://cosmos.network ) Atom (Cosmostation is amazing https://www.cosmostation.io ) Luna( https://www.terra.money) Secret Network( https://scrt.network ) Osmosis(https://osmosis.zone) TerraUSD (which in Anchor Protocol pays 20% APR https://app.anchorprotocol.com/earn) Check out Cosmostation and look through the % they pay out for the coins they support. Also easy to navigate and swap and sell between them using Osmosis and TerraSwap https://terraswap.io. Checkout PolkaDOT and Kusama(https://kusama.network) and the parachain auctions/crowdloans and staking percentages offered (https://polkadot.js.org and https://fearlesswallet.io) Also staking Luna at Terrastation (https://station.terra.money) not only pays out ~12% for staking Luna but you will receive weekly drops from projects building on Terra such as Mirror protocol, Anchor Protocol and a ton of others.( https://www.terradrops.io ) Check out ApeBoard Finance and look through the different protocols on each network and the LPs they have ( https://apeboard.finance/dashboard ) Raptoreum is also a fairly new project that has shared nodes and private nodes to earn and compound your interest. You can choose to get paid out a certain % and leave the other % to continue to compound.( https://raptoreum.com and inodez for earning ~50% https://inodez.com)….. I would recommend you research Cosmos, Secret Network, Luna, TerraUSD, Osmosis, Ergo(https://ergoplatform.org/en/) Flux(https://runonflux.io) Pirate Chain (An amazing privacy coin with some of the best privacy features. Though privacy coins can be volatile. https://pirate.black ) Dero is a great private smart contract platform that hasn’t yet launched their main net. Built from scratch with some amazing developers. (https://dero.io) PolkaDOT and Kusama.Look into Lps like Beefy Finance (https://www.beefy.finance) So many great projects with different use cases and ways to to earn depending on the ecosystem. Too many to list and link so I inevitably left some out. Best of luck to you and Merry Christmas!

Join the discord, keep your Atlantis seeds safe. Create a new wallet on the Stargate network using an official wallet from https://dero.io only, so you can be ready to do your swap. Second swap opportunity will be announced soon. https://discord.gg/H95TJDp

Hi, I've been trying to join the Dero community forum but it doesn't send my email a link through to email. Does this link directly to a Dero technical rep to help me rather than needing to get onto Dero form via dero.io?
  • Private Smart Contracts

You're correct that Dero has unprofessional management with trigger-happy mods seeing a troll in everyone who does not praise it and fall in line. There could be no factual discussions held in Discord without being labelled a traitor, shunned, ridiculed and eventually banned. I sincerely hope it changes at some point. Their devs never explain the vision or discuss theoretical concepts behind the code. No current whitepaper either. Now they are arguing that DERO does not advertise private SCs, while https://dero.io clearly states on the front page: "Private Smart Contracts and Services", lol. I would love to see the project succeed however difficult it may seem with the current attitude of turning people away with obscurity and attacks instead of attracting them with openness to discussion and transparency.
  • I love Bitcoin! But there is a big ratio of hardcore BTC holders that treat all Altcoins as they shouldn't even exist in the first place.

There’s also DERO. https://dero.io/ which is private by default and handles private smart contracts on it’s base layer. It’s also ASICS resistant POW.

You probably wouldn't play cards with a blindfold on, right? Well with many of the digital gaming platforms you are doing just that. The game algorithms often remain a mystery. You rely on unseen, third party forces to determine the fairness and outcome of the game. In some instances they can even refuse to payout a players winnings. With dReam Tables, we want to remove the third party from this equation. All our games are open source, verifiable and operate in a decentralized manner. The apps run locally on your computer. Unlike most crypto games that use public ledgers, at dReam Tables your balances & transactions are stored on a private ledger allowing you to play in complete privacy. We use the power of Dero's private smart contract platform to achieve this. With our private table model we aim to give digital games a bit more of a personal feel. Once you have a dReam Table you are in control, play as you please.

Check dero.io, join the Discord server, the forum at forum.dero.io, or documenting dero on Medium which is what really helped me bootstrap my knowledge.
