pi-hosted VS rclone

if you look at later installments the GitHub morphed into https://pi-hosted.com/ and another GitHub rabbit hole to enjoy.

Setup: Pi4-4gb with Pi OS lite 64bit Installed Docker, Portainer, Nextcloud via https://github.com/pi-hosted/pi-hosted

I recently tried installing wireguard in a docker container on my Raspberry Pi 4 and the connection kind of works! I followed this guide https://github.com/pi-hosted/pi-hosted/blob/master/docs/wireguard-install.md. I've connected my phone using the Wireguard app and the thing is that when I'm using the vpn, I can access my LAN network (192.168.xxx.xxx:xxx) but not the internet. I've also got pi-hole running as well, if that changes anything. I'm not entirely sure what I should do to make it so I can access both the LAN network and the internet using the vpn, but I'll be editing this post with any additional information that will help.

I am currently using it with existing Raspberry Pi monitor ( pi-hosted/rpi_docker_monitor.md at master · pi-hosted/pi-hosted (github.com) ),I have one combined stack (https://github.com/iAmSaugata/speedtest_exporter/blob/main/docker-compose.yml), feel free to use it.

I have portainer running on my pi, with templates from https://github.com/pi-hosted/pi-hosted . Specifically, the Unifi controller template comes from here https://docs.linuxserver.io/images/docker-unifi-controller .

Synchronise buckets with Sclone or Rclone

Says that Apple doesn't provide a multi platform API. It doesn't provide any official supported way to access iCloud from Windows, Linux.

seconding rsync and syncthing.

the server could expose an smb or nfs share, the client could mount it, and then sync to that mount.

rsync over ssh also works, if you do not want to run smb/nfs.

rclone provides a special pCloud config option, which makes the setup straight forward. rclone can encrypt the data it uploads with its own encryption but not with the pCloud encryption. Therefore it can only upload data to the unencrypted pCloud folders, not to the Crypto Folder.

The arkclone project impliments rclone in ArkOS to achieve cloud saves. Not yet built in to ArkOS yet, and not a lot of recent traction on the pull request to get it added, but it can be installed manually.
