Unless you're using the VPN from inside some kind of high-level corporate network I think obfuscating the encrypted traffic is kind of a gigantic overkill. For most purposes running an OpenVPN/Wireguard instance over port 443 will be more than enough. If you want to get a little more tricky you could even tunnel your VPN through port 53.
