  • Storing time-series data in InfluxDB with Laravel
    2 projects | dev.to | 19 Mar 2022
I figured, if I'm storing time-series data, it makes sense to use a popular open-source solution that's optimized exactly for that. In this article, I'm going to show you how I tied in the time-series database InfluxDB into my existing Laravel application. After doing this, not only have my response times improved drastically, but the database size has shrunk considerably as well.
  • Long term storage for prometheus on Pi Zero?
    1 project | reddit.com/r/raspberry_pi | 13 Mar 2022
I already had a look at InfluxDB but only 1.x (which is EOL) is compatible with 32bit arm and it has a nasty but they never fixed (https://github.com/influxdata/influxdb/issues/10486) so it's not ideal.
  • From Nagios/Munin to where ? Modernization or not ?

Their licence policy may be hard to find on their website, but you can find it elsewhere easily, i.e. github: https://github.com/influxdata/influxdb/blob/master/LICENSE
  • Can i log data into excel/csv using aws?
    1 project | reddit.com/r/IOT | 4 Feb 2022
I would highly recommend using a proper Time Series Database like QuestDB or InfluxDB to do this instead. You can always export data from wither of those two into Excel if your boss wants it in excel, but it's much easier to do data transformations, create graphs and reports, etc. if you have all the data in a proper database.
  • How to stream IoT data into Excel
    2 projects | reddit.com/r/IOT | 11 Nov 2021
I would suggest using something better suited to IoT data than ... a spreadsheet. I'd recommend looking at one of the Time Series Databases for this. 1) QuestDB or 2) InfluxDB as these are much better suited to streaming data.

    No, not really.

  • Can't get influxdb to start
    1 project | reddit.com/r/influxdb | 25 Aug 2021
Not sure to be honest and the systemd documentation is a bit cryptic 😃. I found this big report where a few people reported that workaround working so I gave it a try. That bug report mentions HTTP auth but that doesn't seem to be the only trigger as I don't use it. https://github.com/influxdata/influxdb/issues/21967
  • A Developer's First Impression of M3DB
    3 projects | dev.to | 27 Jul 2021
What immediately strikes me about M3 is how it is designed to fit in alongside the other tools in a likely architecture. It has interfaces to match the ones we already know and love from Prometheus and InfluxDB. The integration with Grafana is also seamless.
  • Clarification on bundling with influxdb 2.0?
    2 projects | reddit.com/r/influxdb | 10 Apr 2021
Am I missing something? Is the all-in-one TICK stack only a feature of pre-compiled binaries? Should I expect a build from https://github.com/influxdata/influxdb.git to contain a full TICK stack?
