Looking for handheld that plays SNES & PS1
FunKey S -- This is my favorite, it is absurdly small but it runs both systems great. Despite the small form factor, I do find it comfortable to play on. Except anything that makes frequent use of the L and R buttons, then it's a pain. There's also no L2 or R2 button, you have to hold select and press L or R to activate those.

Powkiddy v90 is just too underpowered. Anyone know of a similar design with a better chip?
So you said DESIGN right? https://www.funkey-project.com I have two of these. Fun. And then I use my GAMEBOY Micro and SONY Vita for all my retro game needs.

What they say: "The Steam Deck is too bulky!" What I imagine they want:
This isn't what's pictured, but it's almost as good: https://www.funkey-project.com/
- Had fun playing Super Metroid on a tiny console. The tip of your thumb covers all four buttons on the right side. (42.5 x 44.5 x 13.8 mm)

Finished fixing this an hour earlier than expected! I hate soldering, but one of the switches lost its clickiness… from me spamming save states.
It’s something I backed on Kickstarter a while ago—the Funkey S!.
- FunKey OS
- Guys, I am thinking of purchasing the Steam Deck so I have something to play by Valentine's day. But I'm worried that it's just too big to be a true portable gaming console like my Tamagotchi.

Adafruit upcoming handheld console may be the smallest (playable) DOOM device
The Funkey S is smaller, and mass produced and available for purchase now. There's also things like the PiPocket. And these are just off the top of my head.
-
Is this one of the smallest playable DOOM devices?
Buy one.
What are some alternatives?
